Route in which you can see how work is done in the Ría de Arousa, the largest estuary in Galicia.
We will leave from the port of O Xufre and we will begin a route in which, at all times, we will be surrounded by mussel rafts and we will encounter, on our journey, the boats that work in this estuary.
Depending on the season and the closed seasons, we will find its people working on some Fishing Arts or others.
We will see the shellfish harvesters collecting clams and the shellfish harvesters working on the beaches.
We will also see how the best mussel in the world is grown, how it is raised and how it is extracted.
We will be able to see purse seine boats at work, as well as the collectors of the razor clams and algae of this estuary.
We will learn how the shrimp reaches our tables by watching the tightrope walkers of the sea, the Trueleiros, the people who are dedicated to catching the shrimp in the boats.
Octopus, cuttlefish, crabs, crab, are also species that we can see on our journey along this route in which you will end up realizing that seafood products are never the most expensive just because. , but because of the great effort of men and women who throughout the year dedicate their lives to working in an environment in which physical effort is a very important factor.
Don’t wait any longer and embark with us to discover this coastline, its islands and islets where you will see up close the hard and fascinating world of work at sea.
